Adding New BIP Editors

In a recent exchange among the Bitcoin Development community, there's been a discussion about enhancing the process of reviewing and managing Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs).
The conversation was spurred by Léo Haf's proposal to involve more members of the community in this process, particularly highlighting the need for both developers and non-developers to play roles in triaging and evaluating BIPs. It was noted that while assigning numbers to BIPs is straightforward, the critical challenge lies in assessing the technical soundness and overall suitability of new proposals, a task that undeniably requires developer expertise.
Several volunteers emerged from the community ready to contribute to this endeavor. Among the developers who offered their assistance, Jon Atack and Roasbeef were recognized for their extensive experience, though there were some reservations expressed regarding Roasbeef's suitability for this particular role. Other community members like Kanzure and Ruben showed interest, though their availability remains uncertain. For the non-developer aspect of triaging, suggestions were made to potentially involve Seccour and/or Greg Tonoski in testing the viability of this approach.
The consensus appears to lean towards the immediate expansion of the editorial team responsible for BIP evaluations, without postponing the initiative for a reorganization of the numbering system. This approach suggests a pragmatic step forward in addressing the urgent need for more comprehensive review mechanisms, ensuring that proposals are scrutinized thoroughly for their technical merit before being assigned BIP numbers.
